1.1 Course description |
During this Color Tinting course the following topics will be covered in both theoretical- and practical sessions:
- -Color difference analysis
- -The color process
- -Theory on colors (color perception)
- -Color documentation
- -Color tinting technique
- -Solid, metallic and pearl colors
-In the practical sessions, the theory is put into practice, as well as the application techniques that may influence color accuracy.
The Ishihara color blindness test; to check participants ability to recognize different colors is part of the training |

After this training participants are able to:
- -Determine if color tinting is necessary
- -Explain the color process
- -Use the color documentation in an effective way
-Achieve a good color match between the original car color and the -repair paint using a minimum of time and materials |

Bodyshop employees; car sprayers and / or color mixers.
Selected trainees should be frequently engaged in color matching activities |

1.5 Student requirements |
Basic knowledge in the Car Refinish repair process
Participants should have attended a spraying technique or similar course |

4 days sequential or:
2 sessions of 2 days, interval between the sessions of minimum 4 weeks and maximum 3 months
During the interval participants are able to improve their skills in a practical situation |
